80 ton shay

I just received a new 3 truck 80 ton shay for Christmas.  I want to install a decoder but cannot figure out how to remove the H20 tank cover to gain access toi the decoder socket.  Any help?

first, you have to remove the rear truck, then remove the screw towards the front. it is under the wires-hiding. before you pull it off though, you need to remove the ladder on the back of the tank- or else you'll do what I did and break the thing in half. You will also have to cut capacitors so it doesn't take off uncontrolably. I think its C1 or C2 or maybe both-someone else will have the awnser to that.
