N Scale

I am new to model trains and choose N scale due to space. I have purchased a Bachmann starter set, and have many questions. Can I mix other manufactures accessories ( track, couplers, etc.) with the Bachmann set? I am in North Central WI, are there any hobby shops in this area, one that specializes in model trains?

There is a hobby shop in Milwaukee that I went to a couple of years ago. Not bad. Yes, you can mix other couplers and stuff. However, you cannot mix knuckle couplers (which most, if not all, manufacturers make now) with rapido couplers. They don't work together.
