I too am having the same problem, did you find out any solutions, I understand from sending previous things back to Bachmann that they are running 8 weeks for service, thats no fun.........

I nloose connection with controller on the dynamis, doesn't seem to matter wether it is in bright light or darkness, 2-3 feet away or 20 feet away, signal fades and goes out then train quits...even if controller is sitting next to the reciever??

I'm Wondering if anyone knows what you need to run a Bachman Ho Steam engine  item no 84306 that is advertized as dc or dcc...if I only have a Variable DC power suppy such as tech II, can I run this engine and can I changed the sound type...is there anything else needed such as " decoders,controlls, other sound modules etc.   I don't find their site very helpful.....thanks in advance
