Thanks, TimR - very helpful. I may use the 44547 set but just out of curiosity how could I accomplish this with On30 track? That sure would look better than the plastic roadbed. Again, thanks for any insight.

I saw the Bachmann On30 layout recently. How does the reversing mine car work? Do you simply use the auto reversing track system (44547)? Or does it require using and adapting the full Village Street Car set with the trolley barn? Bottom line - how can I make my own reversing mine car scene? Thanks for any help!
