The scratchbuilt cars I have builtfor the ET&WNC are either32ft or 37ft long, pulled behind the4-6-0,and run great on 18"inch,22"and 24"track. They  use Bachmann trucks and frames. The short cars are ok for freelance RRs,but most other narrow gauges still used larger stuff.Besides, I don't think Bachmann will discontinue the smaller cars just because they "may" make larger ones. Theres room for all. ;)        Dwayne Calloway

That is how I have built my ET&WNC cars. The siding makes it easy, and the Bachmann frames and trucks make the cost easy too!  The boxcars are 32ft and 37ft long and the flat cars are the same. Even the hoppers are 28ft,I think?  D. Calloway

If I am not wrong, The On30 coach was one of the favorite new products at MR when it came out a few years ago, and that got my attention. Then when the ten wheelers came out, I switched scales after almost thirty years in H.O.  If Bachmann could cure the gear woes in some of the other models, and make some new cars that are longer and larger, They would make ALOT of people happy!!  Happy people buy more models!!! :D The On30 Stuff is great and they could really expand the market with some models that would complement the locomotives they offer.  I feel sure they know this to some level. The EBT The ET&WNC the D&RGW as well as many others had larger rolling stock.  I have vented, I feel better.  Dwayne Calloway

Bill, I heard through the grape vine that the ET&WNC intermodel may be comin' now the longer coaches would really be nice!!!!! The Tweetsie had several and they were second hand so they would be very useful to alot of modelers. Are You Listening Bachmann??!!! Hmmmm.  Dwayne Calloway

I bought an ET&WNC green #12 last year and love mine too!!!  Mine came with the following papers: Complete folding parts sheet, warranty sheet,Radius of no less than 22"sheet,interchangeof domes sheet, warranty card, and a information sheet on theDCC NMRA decoders. It also came with a small bag of"coal" and lots of extra parts.Hope this helps!!!  Does your engine have sound, and if so how does it sound? I had to add sound to mine, and Bachmann says the new sound version has the correct "fixed" whistle. Enjoy!!  Dwayne Calloway

Bill, I have a problem with everything being made in China these days. I know it is a cost issue, but the quality suffers. I used to drive a semi-truck for Broyhill furniture and watch them close almost every plant down (over seven thousand peoplelaid off) mostly in my home county, And now the quality is awlful!!!!!!  I am very glad we have so many options in modeling now, but I would like to see it made here and would pay a little more as long as quality was good.  D. Bill, Sorry to here about all of the problems you have had with Bachmann locomotives,I  cannot say I have had that trouble. Ijust got into On30 last year with the ten wheelers and mine have been run alot with no problems at all!!(ET&WNC)  I switched from H.O. when they came out. I have two of these and am getting ready to buy another one with sound. I hope Bachmann is addressing these issues because I really like this scale and think it has great promise. Will let you know if I have any problems with my engines.   Dwayne Calloway

Bill, I checked out their site, and plan to get one of those. That combine saw ALOT of service on  the"narrow gauge".  I am glad we are finally starting to restore it at Spencer Shops!!!!    Dwayne Calloway ;)

What a great story!!!  Art was made for kids. My dad used to watch the show and loved it!!  Ihave seen many of the reruns and that is GOOD tv!!!  As en ex-railroader,I did not know Art loved trains but I am glad he did!! Sure wish we had more like him.  Dwayne Calloway

Donald,  Maybe Bachmann could look at doing HOn30 in your country, but like some of the others have said, that scale is not too big here. Ican understand theOn30 stuff because it allows people to run their trains On H.O.scale track which is cheaper for some. It actually scales out to less than five scale inches difference on the track which is close enough to 3ft narrow gauge for most of us in that scale.  Alot of models are not that close!!  Maybe Bachmann will read your post and help you out "down under" Happy modeling!!   Dwayne Calloway ;)
