General Discussion / Re: Motorized Turntable
April 10, 2013, 04:02:29 PM
Thanks again, but I tried it probably twenty times and nothing works.  I even swap out the decoder and put the original back in and hooked it up for normal DC operation and that doesn't even work.  I'm convinced I have a defective turntable.  Thanks again for your help.

General Discussion / Motorized Turntable
April 09, 2013, 04:16:42 PM
I'm trying once again to see if anyone can help me.  I tried calling Bachmann directly but no one called me back.  I'm very frustrated with them. Can anyone give me a step by step procedure on how to program the Bachmann motorized turntable using the Prodigy DCC System.
Someone said to program it just like a LOCO, but that's no entirely true.  I've learned since then that you need to do this through the ACCY mode.  I know the default address for the turntable is supposed to be 3, but I'm just not having any luck.  I tried a procedure by puttin gin CV 513, but all that did was start one of the locos running on the track.

I'm ready to tear my hair out and my next step is just to put the regular decoder back in and operate it off a separate power pack using a normal DC hookup.  Can anyone rescue me from this frustrating ordeal--it will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Thanks for the reply, but I wish it were that easy.  I tried several times doing the following with no success.

PROGRAM--Prog Track---ENTER
PROGRAM-Main Track---ENTER
Using the ACCY (Accessory) button
Address 3
It asks for 1 or 2
1 is ON
2 is OFF
I tried both and then turned the speed knob, but nothing happened.
I really need a step by step list of what to do.  I feel like an idiot that I can't get this thing to work.

I just purchased a motorized Bachmann Turntable and am unable to program it to run with my MRC Prodigy DCC System. Can anyone help me with a step by step list of how to do it?

I did replace the decoder that came with the turntable with a DCC capable decoder.  I do have the wire connected to the turntable. I do have the turntable connected to the layout with power in the rails.

I have tried programming it several times without success.  Frustration is setting in.

I called MRC and the Hobby store I purchased it from and neither one of them are able to help me.  There has to be someone out there that knows the answer.  HELP---PLEASE!
