On30 / Re: On30 trolley

Thanks y'all, no wonder this version was so cheap, will I ever learn.

Does anyone have any ideas how to convert this older version to a form

where I could use a power pack. The electrical connectors are different. I tried switching the track inside the barn

from the HO version to this ON30 barn but that didn't work. Any ideas???

Thanks

I have had good luck calling Bradford Exchange direct and ordering the exact item I needed

and in the color or style I was looking for: Give it a shot.

Thanks Paul,

I'll check with the train shop to obtain these couplers.

On30 / Trucks on On30 Bachman passenger cars

I have On30 Bachman passenger cars and I need to raise up the car so the couplers

will match. These trucks are not attached using a screw, so how can I remove these

trucks to insert a washer for spacing.

Thanks

Bachman,
This was purchased 10 months ago, did I get the old or new, and is there a way to

use a power pack with this garage set-up???

Thanks--

On30 / On30 trolley

I have a new Bachman ON30 trolley. Instead of a power pack, this thing is equipped with

an on/off switch only which has only speed --slow. This replaced last years HO Trolley

which worked just fine. Also, I can only get intermittent operation, sometimes it

quits in the middle of the run. So far not much fun.  Any ideas??

Thanks

Oops! You're right, that redefines "ever so loosely"

Thanks

Our layout is based loosely (ever so loosely) on the London, Bristol & Southcoast RR. This line

existed in the early to mid 1850's before mergers, buyouts etc. We use this to accommodate my

wife's Dickens Village collection. More fun than old people deserve.

Hey phillyreading,

Which 2 train powerpack did you purchase??

I have been looking at the MRC, guy at the train shop said that it lacked power.

Let me know how it works and how many trains are you pulling.

Thanks

I'm back!

I received my "on30 Baldwin 4-6-0" DCC equipped Locomotive and I ran it with 4 different power packs

on 2 separate track set-ups and the Locomotive has one speed--SLOW!! What am I missing

or doing wrong?? I am planning on keeping this thing simple using analog.

Thanks Again

Hey Guys,

I just fixed the same problem concerning the coupler on the tender. Replaced it with

with the coupler from the last car on the train, end of story.

This stuff is more fun than old people deserve.

Keep this thread going:

Can DC Locomotives be converted to DCC, if so, how so

and where??

Thanks again

New question,

Will the "E-Z Command Digital Command Control System" run "Analog Locomotives"

and the "Spectrum On30 Closed Street Car" and a "DCC equipped Locomotive"

at the same time on separate tracks, no switching. 4 trains total.

Lot's of stuff in that question.

Thanks again.

Thanks for the reply,

The catalog states that this item "Baldwin 4-6-0 item #28670"  is dual-mode NMRA-compliant

decorder, so I should be good to go. I'm new to this stuff, and I appreciate your patience and help.

Thanks Again

Hi,

I have ordered a "DCC On Board" 4-6-0 Locomotive. Do I need a "DCC" Transformer

or controller to operate this "Loco" or will my Spectrum controller work.

Thanks
