General Discussion / Re: Army Rolling Stock and equip
January 04, 2010, 07:13:48 PM
No wthat we found some Army stock he wants to know if we can blown up a train or crash them together like on the Adams Family.  Gues he saw a show when he stayed up late with his big sister.

I told him no, that was a bit to far.

Not looking for a real life application, looking for coolness for my nine (9) year old.  Making exact recreatons of yards and towns can be fun but making kids smile is a blast.  And while you will never see a Army spur next to a stock yard spur , with a coal depot at the end.  when my is done you will see a happy seven year old girl playing with the farm animals, and a nine year old son moving around tanks and trucks.

Sid thanks for the link, that will help alot.

Perfect, did not find that store when I searched.  Desert is a wish not a need, the stock was the need.

Thanks very much. ;D

Was hoping to find stuff at a show early December but the show was very disappointing not worth the two hour drive.  Tan on the equip is the Desert camo, been their too.  Retired so I don't get to play again. didn't hin about craigslist but have check e-bay.  Was looking for a retailer I could order from, I don't have a lot of time and want to finish my lay out before I am unbale to work on it.

Don't see why not.  Makes sense for a power view point.

There is a thread on this on the Geneeral Discussion Board started by me.  Find the thread titled Atlas -V- Bachmann EZ Track and in the middle this is discussed.  I am in the porocess of wiring three sets to one switch each.  So the matching crossovers will operate on one switch.  Hope this helps.

The short answer is yes you can, just make sure you wire carefully so they operate as you need.

General Discussion / Re: Adding Feeders
December 22, 2009, 03:25:42 PM
OK I will take it that the short answer is YES.  It is as easy as adding a powered rerailer to the dc power pack.  Adn If I want to get exotic then that is where the responces will help.

Thanks

General Discussion / Adding Feeders
December 22, 2009, 08:32:22 AM
I have seen several questions and comment about adding feeders to ensure enough power throughout the track.  Is this as simple as I think it is, I add a Bachmann Powered rerailer to the same DC out put on my control box.  Have not yet finished the lay out so now would be a good time to add.  Oh yea I am running HO non-dcc.

Ok so basically anit nobody got any.  ???  Might be time to rethink my lay out, cause the gap thought small is a problem.  I have tried spreading the gap across several connection but hat only works for a little bit.  Virabtion and what not eventually causes a problem.

You show in your product list a part number 44592, my local hobby shop has been trying to find this for two (2) weeks.  Is it not out yet?

General Discussion / Re: Couplers
December 05, 2009, 10:39:59 AM
Thanks Jeff.  Since I need to do all the other cars I will go with the II.  18* and 22" curves with no real sharp turns, so the medium should work.  Gonnin to a show today, so maybe I can get a deal on a bunch.

General Discussion / Couplers
December 05, 2009, 09:41:56 AM
OK bought a Bachmann Silver Series track cleaner that has the EZ-Mate Magnetic couplers.  The rest of my stock and engines still have the original couplers that came withthe set, OBTW they are HO.  So I need to change, what is the difference in EZ-Mate and EZ-Mate II?  And how to I know if I need short medium or long?
