Yeah no chance of shock just by touching the rails tadpole. Just don't

• let any metal objects lay on the track while trains are running-you'll get a short circuit.
• run the trains on carpet, as stray dirt, etc. could jam up the locos and track.

Big model railroad merchants nearly always get the dates wrong. I wouldn't believe any date unless it was announced here.

Advice: don't do this project. It will be mediocre at best, awful at worst. Bad idea.
