Hi, I am running HO with the EZcommand dcc. I have a problem with my layout. I have 1 crossover and 4 turnouts. When I connect the last turnout, I get the flashing red light indicating a short. I hace changed turnouts and still the same problem. Also when I try to run 3 DCC engines 2 engines will stop and start, generally at the same spots every time. Do the turnouts and switches need to be powered as well, and could this be part of the problem?

can an ez command controller program 4 digit codes?
