WOW thanks for the quick response, the drivers are shorted so I will do the fix when I get home tomorrow. I feel a little sheepish not having checked closer before posting but I've never had a total failure on a new engine before

When I put my new 2-10-0 Decapod on the test track it draws current but failed to move or light the light so I checked and the  motor runs fine when hot wired to the 4 prong plug. Is it possible that the small power pack the I use on the test track will not handle a DCC ready unit or am I missing something. everything else from the old 70's units to the new units works fine  with the test track.
