Hello Ton, How would I measure that on a DCC track?

Greetings to all. I am set up for my Christmas layout for the season.

With a Dynamism controller the locomotive as it going around stops momentary and go again at different parts on the layout, not always the same spot and not every time.
Tried with different locos with same result.
I also have a EZ-Command and that works normally.
The tracks are clean and the continuity of the tracks all check out.
All my locos are cleaned and checked each year I put then away.

I would be happy to hear from anyone experienced this problem and found a solution.

This is a long shot but worth trying. I also have a 4 6 0 and it was squeaking  like an injured pig mostly on the curved track. After taking things apart cleaning, greasing and oiling I finely find that the tender was doing all that noise. Removed the wheels cleaned put a drop of graphite lubricant on each socket, bearings holding  the wheels. I love my 4 6 0 again. pjf

A lot of us asking the same question and only the actions at Bachmann will give us any indication that On30 will be around.
What I would like to know why is the one of the nicest and smoothest operating loco disappeared from Bachmann's line-up. I like all my locos, 2 6 0, 4 4 0, 4 6 0 but my favorite is the 2 8 0 and that one is no more.  pjf   

Ton, thank you for your reply. I did figure it out after connecting it to 12 volts.
My replacement "light bulb" is a LED and I got it working. Now I will try taking  apart the housing without destroying it. Cheers, pjf

Hello everyone, Happy New Year.

Need help on replacing the front light and making it work.
1- the front light was  not working I removed it and tested with 12 volt and of course it burned out, I have the replacement bulb but I cant see how the housing comes apart without destroying it.

2 - temporally connected a new bulb but also is not working. Must be a loose connection or an electronic failure.

Hello Bill, my first question is are you using an auto reverse module or DT, DT switch. Either way the turnouts should not be part of the reverse loop and offset the isolators even if it is 1 or 2 millimeters apart across side to side. I had the same problem until I made those changes. If the two wheels across of the loco touch the opposing polarity the auto reverse module can not react instantaneously and creates a short. Just cut the rail on one side enough to stop conductivity and use the plastic connector on the other side, also if the length of you trains is longer the reverse loop the last car like a caboose with lights can short out your track. pjf

I am completely dumbfounded for the lack of customer service from this company. I posted here, sent e-mail inquiry, telephoned 3 times trying to talk with someone and finally left a message with the "customer service supervisor" with my question. The "web store" lists the entire product line but with no or very little information that would describe or offer specification for what they sell.

Recently one of the posts here expressed concerns about the future of the On30 line. Having such difficult time and this is not the first; I would be concerned about the future of the entire company.
Is it too much to ask all I need is an official yes or no to my question.

Dear Yardmaster,  I would like to add an EZ Track #44576 Crossover to my layout.
Can you please confirm if there is enough passing clearance between the parallel tracks to operate any On30 rolling stock or On30 2 8 0 or 4 6 0 locos.

Thank you for the info. I put 2 tracks at 2-3/8 center to center and there is enough spacing  for passanger cars or a 4 6 0 to pass. It will  touch on 18" curves.
This kind of info should be available from Bachmanns product catalogue but it is not.

Hello, anyone with EZ Track layout having a #6 Crossover turnout. I am concerned for clearance between the parallel track. Would two On30 loco or rolling stock pass without touching. Thank you for your reply. pjf

Can anyone tell me the spacings between the  tracks  side to side for the #6 Remote Crossover Turnout 44576. There are  no specs and I am concerned about having two locos like a 4-6-0 or a 2-8-0 passing or standing side by side.

Thank you for your responce. I installed a sound module. When reassembled I connected the light incorrectly. I burnedout 2 lights (LEDs) using the track voltage before I realized my misstakes and that the LED is polarity specific. pjf

How do you change lightbulb on 4-4-0 tender, Russian Iron? First you brake off the housing. I know now why there are  extra back light and bulbs are included in the original box. Hopefully this is not the case for the front light.
Here are a few things I learned and want to share with you for future reference.
-The backlight casing is glued and can not be taken apart.
-The bulb can not measure continuity and needs to be tested with electricity.
-The bulb is very low voltage and it will burn out if it is directly connected to the rail voltage for testing.
-Finally the bulb is polarity specific, it will glow only if positive is connected to the longer stem. Cheers, pjf
