Thanks Sid,

Now you show me, after I bought the cab and paid the $6 shipping!
My parents used to get mad at me for tearing my toys apart to see how they worked. I've always been handy but at 67 I'm a little more cautious than I used to be...I think you may see the cab being returned!
And I used to be a N scaler!

Thanks again my friend!

You're absolutely right! That was a dumb move on my part, and I thank you for bringing it up.
I'm ordering the steel cab.
But my question was "is it a easy to do swap"

Thanks Jeffrey!
Why can't Bachman include a note explaining it?

General Discussion / HO RS3 with DCC

Recently bought this loco and found a small plastic bag with what appears to be a circuit board. I'm new to DCC and have no idea what it's used for? Come on Bachman include some sort of instructions with your product so guys like me aren't confused!

HO / S 4 DCC Ready
January 08, 2013, 03:29:13 PM
Recently bought a S4 that was marked as DCC Ready. What do I need to make it active and can I add sound?
New to this part of model railroading so any help to get me up to speed will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Jim of Medford Trains
