Dear Bach Mann,

                         Any considerations for producing the White Pass in On30..? You could acquire a whole new generation of diesel/steam modelers with the variety of equipment, not to mention that the LGB large scale stuff still fetches a pretty penny on ebay. The WP&Y is still listed as the most popular tourist railroad in the entire world...

 Is there any chance that Bachmann will produce a set of logging buggies, bogies, trucks or whatever they may be called..? Seems that after the massive investment that Bachmann has made in it's fine looking, and smooth running logging models that a natural and obvious companion would be the logging trucks that carry the logs...seems that EBAY offers some very nicely detailed (smaller scaled) LGB models of these trucks at an insanely high premium, as well as American Models logging cars which also carry a hefty price tag.
  If Bachamnn could produce such products at an affordable price they would more than likely increase sales in a somewhat sluggish market. 

 Dear Bach-Mann, The White Pass & Yukon has set some incredible ridership records for a modern, "narrow-guage" railroad. Wouldn't it stand to reason that if the people who have money, travel halfway around the world to ride such a beautiful railway (with a variety of "narrow-guage" equipment, from passenger cars that were built in the 1880's, to modern, "wide-nosed" diesel-electrics) would buy a miniature version to put underneath their Christmas tree, kids room or yard..? Bachmann Trains is passing on a goldmine, every year they fail to capitolize on this valuable market segment. Bachmann Trains produce models of so many different (and obscure) roads, and locomotives that end up in magazine blowout ad's, and ebaY auctions, why not produce your beautiful Fn3 (Large) models of the WP&Y, and give chiildren, and the children inside us all, the opportunity to model a modern, popular and beautiful railroad, that would offer an amazing variety of options, for the Bach-Men (including Bach-WoMen) to build and sell..?

 Dear Bach-Man, The reason that 1/29 models are on the rise is the youth-factor. The steam-to-diesel era guys are declining...You've expressed here in this column that you own a good bit of 1/29 equipment, and that Bachmann will continue to adhere to it's Narrow-Guage "niche." Build more White Pass & Yukon models and you'll cater to the "millions" of riders and railfans who share fascination with this success story in the fabled-North. Not only will Bachmann make a killing-they'll obtain new hobbyist in the process. Remember, Athearn and Atlas are taking-over because they build for the scale-crowd, and Atlas owns the "O Scale" market just as Bachmann used to hold-fort with LGB in Large Scale. Build them and we will buy...Good Luck.

 For God's sake...will all of you Maine-two-footers, and Colorado-die-hards realize along with the Bach-Man that the White Pass & Yukon Railway destroys these diminutive railroads in ridership each and every year proving that people are fascinated with, and enjoy the White Pass & Yukon Railroad considerably more than all others combined...run the numbers and you'll see. Dear Bach-Man, please build more WP&Y models in 1:20.3 and On30. People who ride the WP&Y will buy hundreds of models at the White Pass "gift shop"and modelers across the world will buy because RailMaster's of New Zealand have built WP&Y in Sn3 (talk about diminutive scale) and they've sold well. Hell, LGB's "best seller's" have been WP&Y models, just ask Ron Gibson former head of LGB America.

 Dear Bachmann, I agree, we need the White Pass in On30. I was shocked last year when no WP&Y models were announced. If you ever visited the WP&Y you understand the allure of the equipment and the beauty that this road encompasses not only in geography, but the paint schemes combined with the ruggedness of the diesels and steamers that serve this historic line. Also of note is the ebaY factor that proves the WP&Y still draws high bids for "toy-like" LGB trains and photodocuments. Not only could Bachmann model the modern equipment which includes the worlds first intermodal operations (Yes, WP&Y was indeed the first) and beautiful "snow fighting" plows, but the historic value of the U.S. Army steamers and troop/army tank trains (how cool would a solid military train be?). Don't forget some of the most beautiful structures in the entire world that would be so simple to recreate. This could be a "Gold mine" to be certain. One last note, Railmasters of New Zealand have built nearly all of the WP&Y's modern fleet of diesels and steamers and rolling stock in Sn3 and the stuff sells fast whenever you can find it, should stand to reason that if they made such a large selection of equipment they must have sold quite well..? Please believe me-"they're not (Railmasters) inexpensive or cheap.  Well, that's all I got, so here's to hoping you folks build it-then the rest of us can purchase it. Sincerely Justin

 Dear Bach-Man, Any chance we will see some modern 1:20.3 White Pass & Yukon models in the not-so-distant future? The WP&Y continues to set passenger records year after year, and the scenery isn't the only reason for this popularity. The power and rolling stock options are extensive by narrow guage standards and with the addition of the U.S. Army years color schemes are quite varied.
