N / J CLASS HELP
August 03, 2013, 01:16:11 PM
1. Since my J class was running erractic. I was told to remove the choke coils, Which I did. Is it necessary to add jumpers in place of the choke coils?

2. I also did not pay attention to the orientation of the plug from the tender to engine. Do the wires go on top or the bottom?

I cut out the choke coils completely. Is it necessary to add a jumper wire?

How does one remove the wheel that has the traction tire on it? Other then Bullfog Snot
is there any substitute for the Bachmann traction tires since stock seems to be out.

Thanks

If you want sound , I have used ESU LOK Sound Micro v 4.0 and a Soundtraxx 1/2" speaker. Good motor control and sound.

N / 2-8-0 decoder installation
April 29, 2013, 11:15:55 PM
I have a 2-8-0 with a factory installed decoder. My question is are these hard wired or do they have the 8 pin plug.

The reason I ask, I am thinking about adding a new decoder with sound.

Thanks

N / J Class Question
April 15, 2013, 09:41:21 AM
Looking for the diameter of the speaker opening in the J class. I need to know what is the maximum size speaker to use.

A Soundtraxx 1/2" 8 ohm speakers fits perfectly in the enclosure.
Thanks

Click on Buckeye for the crane and Roller Bearing for the boom car. You have a choice of coupler length on the roller bearing trucks.

Dan
Thank you for the reply.  Does it make a difference on the coupler length. If it does how do I tell what lenght is needed?

N / 250T Boom and Crane Car

I have just acguired a NIB 250T crane and boom car with Rapido couplers. I am trying to convert to  MT couplers. Since my eyesight is not the best. I would like know if there are replacement trucks with couplers available. I don't know what MT truck and coupler will fit.

Thanks in advance
