Thanks D,  my layout runs both DC and DCC locos.  The Santa Special and two DCC Sound Bachmann's, one steam and the other diesel.

Thanks Jeff.  In retrospect I wish I would have gone with Nickel Silver.  Being "new' to model railroading (hadn't set up a train since 1953 - Lionel).  The set I purchased from Bachmann (the HO Santa Special) included only steel alloy track.  Thanks again!

Thank you all for your quick responses.  My issue is more straight forward than I implied in my original post.  My layout is all Bachmann E-Z Track steel alloy.  I need only one crossover.  The only one I need and I see is available from Bachmann is a #6 Remote Crossover Turnout - Left (44575).  It appears that it is only available in Nickel Silver.  My question is this; can I use one Nickel Silver crossover on a steel alloy track layout?  Will the crossover be compatible with the track type (steel alloy), and will the crossover work on my layout?  Again, thanks for your responses.

Can Nickle Silver and Steel Alloy tracks be combined?

I'm using E-Z Track Steel Alloy

How do you plug in a second E-Z track Power wire for an independent track layout to the E-Z Command DCC?  Is there an E-Z Track Red power wire Splitter?  I want two active tracks, separate from eachother, on the layout.

HO / Changing CVs with Bachmann

My HO layout uses only Bachmann trains & tracks.  I run both DC and DCC using Bachmann's DC Controller & the EZ Command (DCC) system.  What else is needed to program CVs.  I know that the EZ Command does not support changing CVs, only the specific addresses.

Much thanks for each of your suggestions.  I shaved the lower gear housing on the Pilot and adjusted the coupler pins.  These actions seem to have resolved the problem.

HO / Spectrum 4-4-0 Is Sticking

My new Spectrum Sound ME Central stops at two places on my layout, while the wheels continue to spin.  I have to nudge the train for it to continue.  No problems with performance on the rest of the layout, only those two spots on the track.    I also run a Backmann DC train on the same layout with no problems at all.  Any suggestions?
