The   C&TSRR will run K-36 Locomotive #489 on May 25th 2010 with a green boiler. The excursion is in commemoration of the 16th Anniversary of the Rocky Mountain RR Club charter of 1950. The only occasion on which a D&RGW K-36 engine is KNOWN to have a Dark Olive Green Boiler jacket.
Hope this helps

Wow This brings back memories. I used to camp there in the early 80.s The trains would run all day. I need to go through my archives. I have lots of pictures. I used to take them through the fence that ran the whole length of the RR

Thanks for the info Brian, I am looking at the TE Revolution G. It has the capability to convert to Battery power at a later date if I so desire. How do I get info on Kevin Strong's conversion procedure. Also thanks for the heads up on the light issue.

I would like to install the Aristo Craft Train engineer in to my            Bachman K-27 's using track power. Has anyone attempted this ?  Or does Bachman have a remote control system. I am totally new onto RC . My layout is getting to large to operate from a permanent station.
Thanks;

Thanks to all for the information. I am going to purchase some track the next time I am in Denver. I will probable have to wait till May or June to lay more track. Snow should be mostly gone by then.

Thanks Brian. one more question. how durable are the plastic ties. I live in Colorado at high altitude and the sun and cold are brutal. LGB and PIKO track do OK.

Does anyone have experience with AMS code 250 narrow gauge flex track for outdoor use? I am considering using it to run my Bachmann K-27's on this track. The price is quite reasonable.
Thanks,

I am looking for decals to apply to my new Bachmann K-27 (1:20.3 scale)
Interested in flying Rio Grande white letter??  The 1:20.3 decals I found so far are not the same size as my # 463

Thanks F.B.

Dave: I also have the # 463 and purchased it at Caboose Hobbies. Does Northwest Remote Control Systems have a web page. I looked but could not find info. I am interested in sending my K to them.
I live near Antonito and took pictures of the #463 2 weeks ago. if you would like I could e-mail you some pictures.
Thanks.
