N / GE 44t switcher couplers

Does anyone know if the dummy couplers on the GE 44t switcher can be easily changed to magnetic types? If so, which type is best?

Thanks

Thanks, Skipgear. From other observations, it seems that Bachmann's heavy mountain loco, a 4-8-2 might be better than the light mountain.

Many thanks for your help, Skipgear and James.

Product information for the Bachmann 4-8-2 USRA Light Mountain loco suggests a 19 inch radius for good operation.  In hidden sections of track (e.g. tunnels) the awkward apearance of long engines and carriages on tight curves is covered up and smaller radius curves might be possible. For these sections, what would be the smallest radius that a 4-8-2 could negotiate?

Does anyone know if the F7 units, Bachmann product code 81262, are DCC ready, or easily converted to DCC?

N / Is the Bachmann 2-6-6-2 noisy or quiet?

I am planning to buy a 2-6-6-2 but want to install a sound decoder. I have had disappointments with other locos which proved to be so noisy that the decoder sound was drowned out. Does anyone know how noisy or quiet the 2-6-6-2 is?
