Guess I'm redoing it. Flux is an acid based paste.

N / Flux ?

Building an n scale 3'x5' layout. Got track laid out, went out bought a soldering iron flux and .8mm solder. Got half of joints soldered took a break. Started reading flux package to find what to use to clean flux from the track, noticed then it's non electrical flux. Is it a big deal or do I have to redo all the rail joints. My first time soldering.

Had an N scale layout back in mid to late 80's. Now at 60 some years, gettin back into it. Last Thursday picked up on older ROCO set that came with a Bachmann EMD GP40 and four cars. There is enough Atlas track to build a 3'x5' layout. Yesterday found on Marketplace, three totes full of N scale and HO scale stuff. Most is N scale, which is what I'm going to build. A lot more track plus quite a few buildings. The track I picked up yesterday is Bachmann ez trac and Atlas. Can the Atlas track be combined with the ez trac.

N / is dcc compatible

This past Thursday I purchased a used ROCO N scale set that came with a Bachmann item# 63556 EMD GP40 loco. It is from the split frame era, does NOT have a board of any kind in it. Nor do I see any kind of a port, connecter to accept a board. If it is dcc compatible where would I find the connecter. New member just getting back into modelling from many moons ago.
