Hello all I recently acquired a Bachmann gp40 with DCC non sound and the engine has a hum to it when applying track power and the motor sounds raspy when running, any ideas on what to look for? I appreciate any help you can provide.

Rather than change all those couplers on the rail cars I would just change the ones on the engines.

out of warranty nothing smells burnt, would a bad capacitor cause low track voltage?

Hello all I have a Bachman EZ command plus dc/ dcc controller with the power turned all the way up I am only getting 8.4 volts at the track what could be the problem? I connected a dc only power pack up and my trains ran great.thanks in advance.   Chris

Hi all I recently acquired a bachmann gp 38-2 dc ho engine and want to convert it to dcc. question will changing the board to dcc board and adding the decoder be all that's involved or will I have to remove and isolate the motor ? any help would be greatly appreciated thanks
