I added another picture for you to see.

Wire #2 goes from the strip on the printed circuit board to the brush on the left.  Wire #4 is a jumper that goes from the contact on the wheel to the right hand brush.  I don't see a pad on top of the motor.

The only contacts near the top of the motor are the two brush contacts on the top/side that Wires #2 and #4 are connected to.  Since there is no pad on the top of the motor, what are your other thoughts?

Thanks.  That was so helpful.  It is a single drive pancake motor with tabs on either side of the fuel tank.  However, now that I have opened it up, I made a rookie mistake and didn't take a picture of the motor and wiring.  While handling the motor, 2 red wires broke loose from where they belong.  The explosion diagram only shows 2 leads coming from the printed circuit board. In my photos below, I am trying to remember what Wire #1 and Wire #3 connect to.

This is an older model.  The motor needs lubrication but I can't find a way to get the body off the chassis.  I was able to get the belly pan off underneath but there is a cylindrical weight in there that seems to be permanently attached.

I was going to upload a photo but I got a message that the upload folder is full.
