Wow,I would have thought that once the oil stained dried,any of those problems would be resolved. Mine have been dried for several days now,but I will certainly be more aware now.

I have a great way to paint foam made scenery,especially used for my homemade mountains. I didn't have any paint,but lots of oil stain.
   Using up to 1/2 " foam styrene,used in packing material- which I find lying around different places---I glue different pieces together, first contoured with a knife,cover with loose batting and then with a thin layer of styrene packing material--glued with white glue and pinned to hold until glue dries.The foam batting underneath allows for contouring---pushing the pins deeper in spots to form valleys and mounds.
  I stain with two or three different colors---walnuts and maples for example. The stain doesn't give a solid color--which is great since rocks and dirt aren't a solid color.Then dry and add grasses,bushes and trees.
   I FOUND OUT BY MISTAKE THAT THE STAIN BLEEDS RIGHT THROUGH THE FOAM LEAVING A PUDDLE OF STAIN UNDERNEATH....SO VERY IMPORTANT TO STAIN ON A MATTIMG THAT WILL ABSORB THE EXCESS STAIN.

Thanks Jeff...I think the train is dcc...so the box says,bought this track separately...so I understand now ..the wire. I am a novice,but thanks to you and this forum...I am learning.

If you are still out there. Your info was great,but my turnout doesn't have a knockout to put a pencil in for programming.  My turnouts have a green wire with a connector that fits the terminal track...also included was 3 small square electronic boxes with 3 positions for some sort of connector and included was a connector wire for each box...bare wire on one end. I bought the bachmann ez track pack..with 3 turnouts...no instructions how to connect turnouts to power...h...e

I use my dc train on my dcc track but use my older style controller from the standard track dc track.I haven't programmed the dcc track/ez command controller yet to accept my dc engine,but the directions say it is possible.Wal mart has a good price on a 4 x 8 gray bed layout.Just bought one.

Does anyone know if the EZ Command Control Center can be programmed to operate left/right turnouts or do I need a special adaptor. I have the item #44901 command center. The instructions didn't mention anything about this . Thanks
