Thanks very much for this info. BTW can you tell me why the default values for CV 5 and 6 are zero. I assume that means that they cannot be changed ?

I have recently purchased an HO 4-4-0 American with dcc sound value and am having difficulty finding a detailed owners manual which lists all of its CV's and their functions. The quick start guide has very limited information and I love to program.
