Is there a way to signal which direction the turnout is in? 2 of my turnouts are quite a distance from the control switch.

I am starting a new layout for my godson and cannot figure out how to set up/wire the green extension wire for remote switch switch and how it works in series. fwhat doI do with the male plug?
