Thomas & Friends / Re: Oliver

In fact, I learned that the site that had originally posted his release for April 2016 has pushed it all the way back to December 5th 2016. http://www.trainsetsonly.com/page/TSO/PROD/160-58815

Does anyone have any tips in regards to scratch-building stations? I currently plan to build Tidmouth Hault and Haultraugh and I've done some research of my own on how they should look and how I should go about making them, but I was wondering if anyone else had done similar station scratch building.

The two stations appear on Duck's branchline near the seaside and have fairly similar designs.

My plan is to mix the Railway Series design with the TV series. It'll probably be a rather ambitious summer project, but I definitely want to give them a shot.

That's great Sparks! Can't wait to see what else you come up with.

Very nice progress!! Out of curiosity, where did you get that engine shed?

BTW, I myself will be posting my progress with my new setup that I'll be working on this year. I have a few ideas that I'll be experimenting with that I'll be sharing as I test them out.

Hey guys, since there has been a lot of pictures posted of people's incredible layouts, I thought it'd be great if everyone could post pictures of their work here, along with asking questions and sharing ideas for layouts.

While its only on one site, you have a window of what to expect.

Oh yes! I was looking for this website. It was spot on with Skarloey, the engine shed and the Red Coaches. Seeing that it says the discount is about $74, I expect something slightly the same when Oliver hits Amazon about 2-3 months after his release.

@TTTEfan1992 Reply #91 That would make sense! It seems like that is the pattern. They have the price now, $115, so with that in mind it is only a matter of time. I also wonder if it could also end up in the same case as Toad, in which we had no images for his model until his actual release.

Either way, I'm guessing August at the latest with him.

So since there was very little update to Oliver in Bachmann's current catalog and with no prototype photo of Oliver out after Toyfair, based on releases of the past, how far would a release period (i.e. around what months) be more likely to happen for him? I'm only saying estimates based on the past, like with Duck's release, etc.

While on that train of thought, does anyone know how long on average it takes for Bachmann items to show up on Amazon after they are first released?

@UPTODAY: Thanks for the welcome! I'm very happy to be a part of the Bachmann Forums!

@Jacob Wilson: Soon I will! I'm comparing his actual appearance based on what few pictures and video reviews people have of him at this moment. By the looks of things Bachmann did a fantastic job!

In response to the catalogue video post, I have to say I'm quite excited to see that Oliver will be $115, and I'm liking the GWR Cattle Wagon. Rheneas will be the same price as Skarloey so that's good to know. I think so far it is safe to assume that each engine for the Narrow Gauge subtheme will keep around the same $150 price range.

Well, comparing the product image to the actual model, it looks like they made him appear longer in the product image for some reason. I'm glad he's pretty much to scale in model form though.

Sounds like a good lineup, mostly for Rheneas. Obviously not as impressive as last year's, but lets face it, when you release classics like Oliver, Skarloey and Toad in the same lineup, not to mention great rolling stock and resin, it's hard to follow it up. Either way, its Bachmann so expect quality stuff as always.
