I have been looking on Ebay for a motor. How ever if I buy one for parts I will eventually be looking for parts to repair that one too. I have done that with 3 other locomotives and they run quit well. Im kinda goofy that way.

Hi. Sounds like yours was made before the design change to the newer running gear. I called Bachmann today trying to find a motor for my old N&W J Class. I was told they no longer carry parts for stuff that old. You might want to look at Ebay. While searching (bachmann parts) I found a couple older Niagaras being sold as parts. Most sellers will answer questions send addition pics on request. Hope that helps, good luck. Jim

I have a 20 year or so old N&W J Class locomotive. Recently my my loco began to slow down and began to smoke (not  installed) and stopped moving. I narrowed it down to the motor. I called and found Bachmann no longer carries parts for stuff that old. Been watching Ebay but so far no luck. Also my loco has the tendency to wobble caused by the front drive axle. Does any one else have the same problem? Anyone have any other ideas? Thanks JimmyO
