Dear me....

The loco that I poseted before is a European design used in China during that occupation. It simply looks like an A4. The loco that is in Chuggington is based off of Mallard, just with a few modifications; ie; installing a bunker. It is not just some random design.

Try not to be so narrow minded.

Allow me to be a voice of reason here.

Chuggington is currently shown in the U.S. on Playhouse Disney. It is more for pre-schoolers than Thomas can or ever will be. There is no comparison between Thomas and Chuggington. It's like Underground Ernie. Simply another kid's show about trains trying to learn to work together.

And about the A4 with a bunker? Not so far fetched as you might think....

Built off the design of an A4, used during the Manchurian occupation. Credit goes to Nanaki on SiF for this.

There's a wishlist thread which is what we kinda use for threads like these...

Cool ideas! Here is mine...

1. Toby, Henrietta, 2 T.T
2. Edward, 4 cattle trucks
3. Duck, 1 cattle truck, 1 salt wagon, 2 cargo cars, 1 brake van
4. Percy, 2 mail cars, 1 brake van
5. Henry, 1 soder fuel tank, 2 ventilated vans, 1 well wagon, 1 brake van

I really hope that they come out with Duck ;D

What part of the top quote didn't you understand? Use the wishlist thread instead of clogging up the forum space with threads like this.

They took my advice..

http://www.bachmanntrains.com/home-usa/board/index.php/topic,9227.0.html

..and applied it to the Large Scale range.  :P
Can't they also apply it to the HO scale line but without CGI faces?  ???

No CGI faces. Keep the original faces. The CGI ones look too childish.

Have you tried Amazon's Japan site? I'm not sure if Tomy made a regular one.....

Two that the set comes with, but my Emily can pull four coaches no problem.

Please do not bring up a topic exactly 1 year ago >:(

There's nothing wrong with it if he wants to discuss it further.

But what scale were the Skarloey engines?

Doesn't really have anything to do with Bachmann Thomas, but it's an interesting study on marketing, and what happens when you sell away all the rights to your creation. Same thing happened with Superman.

Thats the whole point. People don't seem to realize that Thomas is a British institution, and things such as Hank wouldn't really work.

That being said, I'd like to see Donald and Douglas.

Is it possible to fit a 4 inch tall figure in Thomas and Percy?

Next thing I'd do would be put some seats and people in the coaches and a driver an fireman in Thomas' cab. Is he big enough to put a 3 1/2" action figure in the cab?
Sadly, no. His cab interior is only about 1 1/2 high from floor to roof  :-\

Unfortunately, no.

sorry to bother you but how much would it cost me to build a layout like that

Probably at least $1000 USD, but we'll let the Bachmann answer that.

So could these vans be used as fish vans? Doen't seem likely to me that the Bachmann will make "fish vans" specially for that that purpose. Might be worthwhile to check Bachmann Branchline to see if they have "fish" vans.

A good "kipper" train would seem to have about 5-6 mixed vans.
That being said, can Henry pull that much? (I don't know his pulling power.)
Love the new van, and also like the NWR detail. A bit of weathering and we have a very nice model. :)

:-X After doing some research, I have come to the realization that only these types of vans are suitable for the kipper train.

i heard Boomer was cut because there was a guy that was arrested and his name was P.T Boomer. i found that on sodorisland.net

not entirely true.

While there was a guy that was arrested, it was due to the fact that there was a recent bombing, and also the fact that the children in the test audience were scared of the character.

very well done. I like the weathering for the brakedown train, it looks very used. Will you be making the workman's coach to go along with the crane?
