I have a picture directly from the Union Pacific website.  and was wondering if Bachmann made one of these.
it is the most massive loco I have seen the specs are
4-12-2 with tender.  the road name is Union Pacific I think you can go the the union Pacific website to see the pics:
the www.up.com.  go to the general public area and click on heavy haulers or steam and you will find it.  it is the 9000 my god this thing is massive!

Maybe some one can help me locate a specific Loco or if any company including Bachman made one where can I get one.

the Locomotive was run through fresno/south pacific.  the loco came to known as the "MULE" It is a 0-4-4-0 it was a work horse.  the set up of the loco its self was no front trucks 4 drive, another set of 4 drive and no rear trucks. 

my Family was the operators of the actual locomotive and we are trying to find a replica of it in any scale, let it be G scale, 027, HO, or N.  the closest we have come to locating this loco is with the Shay.  now the shay is close, but it is not the right loco. 

any help on locating the replica of the Mule?

yes Hello to all,
I am a huge steam locomotive fan, but in the past have been forced to use diesel locos.  in the hobby shop where I live there seems to be more diesels than there are Steamers. 
there are 2 locos I am looking for but cannot find, the first one is the 80-tom shay, made by bachman, and I am looking for a longer more elegant looking steam loco something like a 4-8-4 or even a 4-10-4.  is there a webiste that has these?
oh to be more specific the 4-8-4 or the 4-10-4 I would like in Union Pacific if possable
any idea where I can locate these?

Garden railroad, are there any tips and tricks to this? I want to get a garden railroad installed in my moms garden, since her and my stefather are into the "western" theme through out the house, I wanted to stick with that theme.  but I dont know how or where to get the stuff for it.  is there special track? special Loco's, what makes this different than an inside layout? and what sort of prep-work needs to be done?

Thank you for all of your wonderful tips! is it possable to have an elevated track on a 4x8 layout? or would that not be recomended? my wife also wanted to know if a mountain with a tunel would work on a 4x8 layout? I took some measurements and I can go 8x8 as well but I am kind of leaning away from that idea because of space issues.  since we are moving our living room around, I think I may be able to put in there but that leaves me with the 4x8 or smaller.  I also have a small up stairs space...not sure if it would work or not. 
Back to the mountain and creating hills, are there any tips or tricks any one can share?

I am having some issues, first off I have a bunch of HO scale Trains, my wife and I want to get a small layout going but we dont have a lot of space.  I was thinking about a 4x8 layout but that does not seem to give us room for the scenery.  We live in a small studio and we are trying to design a layout that works for us. 

any suggestions?
