  Spent a few shifts with my dad who was the boiler operator and night hostler at the roundhouse in Medicine Hat, (long ago ) you do need to turn down the lighting in your engine house, the windows were so dirty you could not see through unless broken and interior lighting left a lot to be desired, as the lighting was few and far between just between the stalls.

 Curiosity got the best of me, took a look at my "HASKELL"  OF 2-6-2T, if the side tanks & rear bunker are removed, add a 2-6-0 tender, It is not SR&RL #23, only photo I could find is the BRECON MOUNTAIN RLY 12 inch to 1 foot being built in England. Domes would need to be removed or moved, smoke box would need to be shortened to come close to #23.

   Taking a closer look at the base, not likely any drive would be small enough to fit into the base for On30, will have to live with a stationary model.

  Annual arrived yesterday, getting comfortable to have a read through, lots of interesting articles to go through.

  "Professor Fakes Rocket Sled" should! show up today, will need to take a look at a drive for it. Not likely?    to be found on planned diorama.

   Have a couple of nature sound CD's I usually listen to when working on the layout or modelling.

  Only caught a couple of episodes of Brisco County Jr, will have to visit U tube and go through them.

   E mails tell me the On30 manual should arrive today, Prof Fake's Rocket Sled on Thursday, had good intensions of cleaning up back yard
but Mother Nature is dumping Rain and blowing Wind = Cold so that is out!.

  Jury is still out on the sound, will give it a try and see how it go's?.

   Still! waiting on my copy to show up, on the bright side a Bachmann WW1 2-6-2T found it way here, needs a paint job, number plates and a weathering job to go on a diorama I am planning. Also waiting on Professor Fakes Rocket Slide (The Great Race) not likely to be found on the diorama, but I could be wrong

  The amount of super elevation used is based on the degree of curvature and speed limit planned for the line.

  example  20 degree curve radius 286 feet (HO 3 feet 3 inch's) 25 MPH outside rail 7 & 13/16 inch's higher. 

 A prototype time saver was built in 1895 by the Canadian Pacific Railway in Sandon British Columbia. Lasted until 1957 when floods destroy the line.

  There is an article in the 2007 On30 annual on converting the Bachmann Mogul to a New Zealand Railways N class 2-6-2, which may be of interest.

 As for my wish list I would like to see the Bachmann LS wood style ore cars done in On30.

     Another option to consider is looking at "S" scale rolling stock, I have a few pieces just a matter of truck replacement.
  Size wise they look good along side Colorado freight cars.

    Another conversion I've done using "O" scale cars were 4 wood style ore cars. Cannot remember the maker, but they were taken over by "ATLAS" getting them is a different matter, been looking for a couple more!.
