I'm fairley new to modeling and I would like to get your opinions on a few things. My main topic the red branch line coaches. I'm considering purchasing three Annie or Clarabel coaches to fashion into the red branch line coaches. I want to file down their noses and re-paint them into the red color.  My question to you guys is, What color should I use (and brand) of paint and is their a specific way to file down thier noses? My second question is what engine should shoudl I purchase? I want either Henry, Douglas, or Duck. Ideas?

Hello. I was wondering if I could get help on my Emily's tender coupling? Compared to my Edward model (those are the only two tender engines I have), he has a higher placed and less flimsy coupling.  Is there a way I can fix Emily's?  Her coupling is low and it causes problems when she goes up hills.  Is there a way to put it up higher?  Thank you.

Does the model of Toby and Mavis have siderods underneath their sideplates? I've always wondered. It would be totes cool.

Who's the better enigine? Mavis or Salty? I want to buy one but not both.

Hello, there. I'm am torn between buying a Bachmann Mavis or Salty.  I'm going to expand my layout to either a harbor or a quarry, but I'm indecisive about it and I would like the engine that works there.  May I please get the pros and cons of the engines? Mavis or Salty, whom shall I buy?

I had used my Christmas money for the Emily set.  She and her coaches are very beautifly made, but she has no power.  She has a hard time gettign up a low-grade hill with just her coaches.  I recomend Salty. Like others before me, you get a variety of rolling stock, plus Salty.  With the Emily set, it's just her and the coaches. A wee bit boring, no? I had a hard time deciding myself between the Thomas and Emily set, and I just went with what I wanted. Flip a coin, but you decide. They both have their own flaws.

I am personally hoping for another Diesel engine...maybe BoCo or Daisy.  Steam-wise, I wish for Duck, Oliver [perhaps we can get Isabel and Toad ]. I would kinda  be cool to see the Narrow gauge engines to be produced in N scale. *cough Skarloey and Rheneas in particular cough* In sets, I looking foreward to a Henry set....It would be nice, no?
