One of my firends is taking a Visual programming class (in other words, he will be able to make basic pc programs). So we have this idea to make bascially what would be a PC version of the MRC Soundstation http://www.walthers.com/exec/productinfo/500-312 . Oh course with this you could import your own sounds to suit your layout needs :) .All you would need is to place a few pc speakers under the layout and run them to your desktop and or laptop. We havent started yet though (im in charge of getting some of the included sounds, my friend is gonna do most of the programming  ) and we probally wont start till late this month or early april. And of course it will be free (though donations are welcome  :D  )

Thomas & Friends / Re: digitrax zephr
July 09, 2007, 07:21:46 PM
well thats a very broad question. after you plug it in, and wire Rail A/B to your track, Press LOCO, then enter "03", then press loco again. Most of the time locos come pre programmed to adress 03, but I guess for thomas, you should try 01  :).   The manual would be of some help I think(it will show you how to change the locos adress)  ;D http://www.digitrax.com/ftp/zephyrmanual.pdf . I plan on making a video about the zephyr for youtube. My account name is mattgin. Feel free to message me if you need any more help.  ;)

Never mind about it. Already got my answer from a friend. Basically its just needs a little break in  (right now its running around the 4x8 getting some exercise  :) and so far its working)

Today I got my 2-10-2 finnaly and I noticed it runs pretty jittery (as in shaking the train back and forth) Its only got about less than an hour run time so far. Is this normal for the 2-10-2 and will hopefully subside after some more running? I havent gotten a bachmann steamer in over a year and I dont remember this sort of behavoir as much with my 2-8-0.

Other than that Im very happy with it  ;D

General Discussion / Re: 2-10-2 min radius?
June 23, 2007, 11:06:15 PM
i already ordered it (i got SAL). I knew MR did a review on it so i looked it up and shure enough, the title even mentioned its ability to go around sharp curves. and it said 18" so im happy.  Sorry if i sounded a little rude in the last reply.

No, If I did I wouldnt need to ask. I was gonna order it today so I needed to know about the min radius. Plus all of the switches at my friends house are the 18" (not #4) curved type so I like all engines to be able to negotiate 18" curves just in case.
