General Discussion / is there ever a time...
April 23, 2008, 11:01:41 PM
when you can just put down your modeler's glue, paint brushes and soldering guns
and say

WELL
:D

im done...

and when your "done" with your layout, you just play with the trains?

(my point is)
i don't think your ever done with layout's keep finding new things to do.
i think if you just said your done, you'd get kind of bored after a few days of driving the trains in a circle...
has anyone ever hit a point when they said there done?

thats a big uh oh  :o

maybe the conditions you put it under (moistness) (temperature)
might have short circuited something and popped something in the controller... honestly i hope you have the warenty on it still, bachmann could probably fix it..

it's strangley different the advertising...
there not... selling anything

if you need to transport something... you put it on "THE TRAIN" thats in the area.
i don't think a consumer/ traveler would care as much as they care what airline.

i don't think there like ads but i think it still may be extortion
well... no one's ever making enough money...

i have a feeling the times are changing,
the kid's ask for train set's less  :-\
and the "original" model fans are... dare i say it
getting... even more elderly.   :-X

technology might get  better... maybe more digital trains with the digital age... more reliable things.
model trains shows are still largely attended.
Mostly by family's with 5 year olds

Can anyone tell me what they think the possible future could bring?
???

But in my perspective, it looks like model railroading is a dieing hobby.
i honestly hope not  :-[
and how is Bachmann's  stock doing?

seems something wrong with the decoder
or your just hitting the throttle on the wrong frequency, which i assume your not... well...
if it moved with the switch of the adress then the motors fine...
something in the chips
maybe someone else could give you a more complicated and detailed answer  :P

General Discussion / Re: Repairs to Bchmann HO Loco
December 09, 2007, 11:09:36 AM
sounds like you need some sort of securing pin, screw bolt... pin...
check around the floor where you dropped it
you might find a little part.
check if theres a stray hole
look in the loco part chart that shows where all the parts go together
i looks confusing but it may tell you how the parts fit together and whats not right.
clumsy me once dropped my ho loco
a simple 0-6-0 non dcc... worked ok when i put it back on
the drive train loosened and i managed to get it into the piston cases and i noticed it needed some small screws on the bottom...
i got them back in thank goodness
im unfamiliar with the train your describing but i bet there built with the same kind kind of screws... extremley small......

Hope it turns out ok
