Don;

Very familiar with Favorite Spot, I have purchased from them many times. Great service all the way around.  At the moment, they have the majority of 4-8-4s that are listed on eBay.

Thanks for your input.

HO / Availability of Santa Fe 4-8-4s and 2-10-4s
March 27, 2013, 06:32:29 PM
Hello;

Somewhat out of touch with the market right now due to remote work locations.

In casually looking for both 508XX Santa Fe 4-8-4s and 512XX Santa Fe 2-10-4s, I see that they are no longer listed in the catalog, and not many in evidence on eBay.

Have they been removed from production, or perhaps in between runs at the moment?  Searched the message archives, and didn't come across any information of their current status.

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks All,

Steve Stull

HO / Re: 4-8-4 tender

Sorry this is so untimely, just rejoined the group.

An alternative to the Vanderbilt tender would be one of the smaller 20K gallon tenders from the 3751 class or the 3765 class. Significantly smaller than the 25K gallon versions.

Still maintains the Santa Fe look quite well, even though the 2900 class is much more modern than the others.

Good luck
