what do you think of Blue rail for HO and O scale trains, i have the MTH and bachman Dynamis now ??

Lee, thanks for the reply, I do have lights and sound and the motor works  good hooked up to DC, thats why I think it must be the rectifier? I noticed the tan resister with red, black and gold striped did start to smoke indicating a short somewhere,
Yes I did notice one on your posts connecting the bridge rectifier and an altermate, but I would like to have the reverse work.
You are correct the sound blast plugs into the reverse board with 16 prongs, and I guess you know it has QSI sound and reverse boards GP7/9 1996yr.  I have a few other Williams Loco that are working fine, and this one was really great, they pull 30+ large cars and coaches.  My layout is 15"x 25' with hills and plains,  great fun.

And yea thanks,  Joe I do have a few DPDT switches so that is a possibility, I have a dozen Lionel Locos, and they are set up that way,  thanks that definitely is a possibility

I Seem to have shorted my FNR Board, the Engine will not respond, I removed the shell and applied power, the AC power will not work, when connected to the motors the DC works fine, is it possible that the rectifier has shorted out, or would it be a relay, I am fairly new to the Williams Diesels, the sound board works fine??  thanks Joe

Ok, I think that must be the sound board, not familiar with the Williams, and that they used the Qsi sound board, there is a quick connection on the diesel and must be what you spelled out. again thanks for solving my problem.   Joe. G   ps.  the Loco really works great now.

Lee, thank-you for the reply,  Yes I keep the track really clean and have also been cleaning the wheels better also, and did solder a loose wire on the pickup connection when I first got the Loco., but after reading your note, I rechecked the other pickup wires and found a broken wire which was not noticed because they had put a lot of liquid elect. tape on the connection, thank-you again.  That has solved my problem.  I have another question, it seems this Loco., must have had a Qsi, remote also because of the additional circuit board, I will try to send a photo for you to view if you are familiar with Qsi, controllers.   Joe G.

I recently purchased a used Williams Santa Fe 110, and having a problem with starting in forward, it is very sporadic, any help would be appreciated.

richg:  thanks for the reply, after trying everything I read online and in this forum I did not find the answer, but working on the problem I think I have solved the problem. I replaced the 8pin dummy plug with a Bachmann #44926 Decoder because the #44915 was not in stock and this is the alternate Decoder Bachmann suggested, the problem was that the #44926 does not have a flange to hold down the little button next to 8 pin socket so I placed a block to hold down the button and it works like a loco. now, and seems to work fine, this might help for others in the future.

I have a #44926 decoder connected to my Bachmann turntable and having problems getting the turntable to work?? I set the accessory on the handheld address to A003/ 01/ 3 and which button do push to make the turntable to operate? The turntable would occasionally turn continually when I would turn on the track power?
