Hi

Just click on the first post in this board and follow Loco Bill's instructions.

Tony,

Thanks for the copy! You're probably the only person that could solve this puzzle. Thanks again!

Hi All,

Price Club. That may answer a long time question I've had.  I got 3 sets back in the late 90's. The Fast Mail 90086, The Liberty Bell 90024 and the Blue Comet 90028, except the boxes all had the same set number instead of Bachmann's, 58616. I don't remember if they were on eBay or I got them from Trainworld, maybe at the York Pa. TCA show. I can't find the Fast Mail in my catalogs but I show 1996 as the date of the set and 1998 for the 97257.

Yes they will. You will have to open the end of the second tie as the 1600 switches were never offered with a manual control.

Hi All,

That's what I have, Bill. The 98695's number is 1045.

Hi Bill.

I just got home about 10 PM and saw your post. I've started the scans and will send them as soon as I can. By the way, did you know there were two versions of the RC instructions? Here's a teaser: the Big Hauler cartoon on the cover and the photo on the inside cover show engine #8! I'll have to check a set box. Watch your e-mail.

The mail lady just dropped off my 93397 car from Trainworld. It's in a standard Bachmann red box with the standard label numbered 93397 on one end and a small computer printed label with the Frontgate number 149107 on the other end. There is a small sticker on the underside of the car with K150904 (Kader?) on it.

The car is track powered with flat brass wipers on each wheel flange. The tree on each side has 8 different colored LEDs that flash 2 at a time at a slow rate that looks good. The doors are glued shut and I didn't try to remove the top for fear I'd I break it. The lettering is crisp and the paint is good as is usual for Bachmann products.

This would look good in any Christmas train and great in the Sam's Club set that had the LEDs on it.

Thank you very much, Yardmaster. That's all great info. I could just see Loco Bill and I trying to find that info 5 years from now!

Hi,

I have every set but I started when they came out in 1989 and had a friend who owned a hobby shop. I'd hate to start today to collect them as there are several department store and big box store specials that are hard to find. Search for Loco Bill on the forum. He knows more about Big Hauler sets than Bachmann!

Hi Bach-man,

I had a hunch it might be Ruddy Brown. I'll try that first. Thanks.

PS: The two new reefers were worth the wait!

Large / Bachmann log buggy extensions

Hi All,

Anyone know of a good spray paint color match for the 98490 log cars? I have some of tysplanes.com log car extensions to put on and will need to paint them to match. I don't want to change color if I can help it. Do you remember what you used on the prototypes, Bachmann?

Thanks

Wade
