Hello

I have 3 Forneys and they all have grinding noise when running. The noise is so loud on one that it overpowers the sound.
Any history of this? any fixes?

Searched the old post and came up empty. I want to use the 0n30 trolley chassis/motor for a On30 critter.

Has anyone installed DCC into the trolley? Any tips that can be shared?

4-4-0 DC circuit board is it needed for DCC?


I have a on30 4-4-0 DCC question. If I do not want to have DC capability for this engine, can I use just the included DCC decoder and eliminate the circuit board? I am trying to fit sound into the tender and I need the extra space. Does the circuit board provide anything but the plug for the decoder?
I would hard wire the decoder, eliminate the circuit board and use the space for the speaker.

Will this work or is the circuit board still needed?

Hello group,
I have installed the MRD 1665 steam sound only decoder and I am happy with the sound (cannot beat $37.00).
I am having trouble fitting everything in the tender. I have a digitrax decoder that i would like to use instead of the Bachmann decoder. has anyone tried replacing the factor installed DC/DCC decoder and replaced it with a DCC only decoder?

basically I am asking what should I remove.
