I can currently run two powered deisels pulling 30 cars with two passenger trains parked on the rails with lights on ... the New York Central and the Acela Express so i really dont see the addition of a speaker in one steamer causing that much drain...currently have 7 locos powered and 7 passenger cars all on the track all the time....just want a sound loco for my little engineer

I thought that the ez command would only control 1 sound but 8 is cool ... so will any dcc w/sound work that way and if so what would be a good one that will pull a good size train

ok I have not been on here in a few months and I'm sure this question has come up but cant find it...I have the ez command...is there a steam engine dcc with sound that will work with  the ez command, seems like I remember that there is only 1 option on sound... the one that is currently programmed . we currently have a 4-4-0 , 2-8-0 , and a 2-8-4 ...would like a diff comfiguration...is there one that would word...gonna get a more advanced dcc controller b4 long or would it be easier to add sound to an existing engine

yeah it has power and short of insulating and getting a little window unit and a small space heater I'm at a loss...the only good thin is the ceiling is only 6 foot, just insulating is about 200 for R11 which is kinda thin and that would not do under the floor only the walls and ceiling...I really want to do this for him but it will have to be over time and there has to be room for the lawn mower and weed eater , well at least while we're not in there but the thoughts of a 10X16 layout is pretty exciting

How well can our model railroads handle the heat and cool of unconditioned places...say like my storage building, I live in northern North Carolina near the Virgina line. My building is 10X16 and would be a great place to expand my little boys layout.

I would buy a Polar Express in HO if anybody made one ... that's what we were looking for when we got into trains and were gonna paint the New York Central set to look like it but the guy wanted like $120.00 to paint the three cars and said there would be no lettering

if its dcc ready look and see if there is a little rectangle board with soldier on it...if so pull it out and thats where the decoder plugs in ... if not it would have to be hard wired

I wonder if that loco has magne-traction.
remember the tyco race car sets that would go up the wall... looks good so far you have as many switches as I do and its only half your layout...keep us posted
