Thomas & Friends / Re: Bachmann 'Arry and Bert thread

well when you think about it, Diesel does represent the CGI version, I mean, just look at his face, and yet he has silver side-rods, I'm guessing that they stayed silver because Bachmann wouldn't paint side-rods that stick out so much, and would get bumped and scratched up..?

in other words i just have a feeling that even though Arry and Bert will have CGI faces, they'll still get silver side-rods, like Diesel.

EDIT: Something that I've noticed with Arry and Bert's wheels, they dont have the counter-weights like a normal class 08 such as Diesel (by counter-weights I mean that half circle on the oposite side of the wheels then the side-rods)

This is the best example I could find; http://images.wikia.com/ttte/images/8/8b/DayoftheDieselsTrailer6.jpg

well now the only bigger coach we have is Spencer's, and that sucks because we don't even have his brake coach...

I had to make one, which is a little ridiculous, because I could've easily just gotten the Hornby ones instead..

Im just very curious to see if he'll finally have open windows! (like the rest of the range) but Im skeptical of that because, then, how would they make it so we can't see the eye mechanism..?

It hurts my head to think about how they would pull that off. >_>

Thats an amazing point! ^

If bachmann is making a thomas with a speaker inside, then that means there's going to be re-designment! Maybe they'll fix the normal one in the process! ;D

or, god forbid.. Bachmann pull a Trackmaster and make Thomas way bigger then he should be...

This is stupid, the range is supposed to be expanding every year, and all their doing is making the range the same size by discontinuing things... Soon we'll be asking Bachmann, "Why are there all these engines, but almost nothing for them to shunt, or pull?" :'(

CGI logo's drive a good 90% of the Bachmann fan base insane, I still don't quite understand why Bachmann release something that represents the models, and then change it to CGI-Style. (EX. the tankers, and the mail car)

If they wanted to have things CGI, why not just start it like that from the start? (EX. Diesel)

But Bachmann always seem to change between the CGI and model (EX. Duck's face and Donald and Douglas', they did have a CGI face in the show, but they decided to go with a model face (thankfully)) :)

I'll probably just stick with the trackmaster version.   ::)
I don't want another project.

I hate to say it, but even the 2012 trackmaster models are better then some of bachmann's :-\

and before anyone has a go at me, I know the major differences in companies and whatnot  ::)

well put, but one thing, Bachmann would never do bash and dash, i mean, theres one reason that points to this, look at their chassie, Bachmann would never make a chassie like that, especially considering the fact that an engine is put to several drop tests before it can pass on, and the wheels are completely open so there's not a way to put electric copper picks up wires to get the electricity from the track to the wheels and up to the motor, and plus the wheels could also break easily considering the lack of plastic that would actually hold them to the chassie, and im sure 8 year old's (as indicated as recommended age on the Bachmann packaging) wouldn't know to be careful with models as much as us older folk know to, so yeah, bash and dash, as likely to happen as the narrow gauge engines, and...

wait there... i know im bringing this up again... but whats the chances of the narrow gauge engines now that blue mountain mystery is coming out?

that made me think, what would you guys prefer, the moving eyes? or a smoke unit? ???

yeah, now I've found the same flaw in both models, he's made orange, when in fact, his official paint color is vermillion.

my mind = blown, thats purely epic :D

amazing dude, Rheneas is my fav narrow gauge engine, next to luke, but classic will always prevail IMO ;) but i must say, 5 hours of work is waaaayyy less then i wouldve guessed! i would said that took like a week or so to make, im very impressed :3
