I need help with a converted Toby. some time ago I converted my Toby model to DCC then after a while he didn't run as smoothly as when i first converted him. then after a while longer he started would jerk as he moved along. so i ordered a new chassis and motor unit and converted that to DCC. now I'm back to my problem again, and before anyone asks, yes, i oiled him, cleaned the track, cleaned the wheels....the whole nine yards. i wired everything up correctly according to the Digitrax instructions, and made sure I did. I do have some basic knowledge with electronics but not as much as some of the experts.

anybody else notice the catalogue was out? FYI there are pictures of the Iron twins as well as the TT #4 in there and they look very nice!

I thought they weren't supposed to be announced until after the Toy Fair? oh well, I'm not complaining.  nice to see the the Red Coaches are going to be made! I think I'm more excited about the resin buildings.    Good choices this year!

i wonder if the sounds will be the same as the ones from the show (i.e. chuff, whistle, ect.) or if it will be some sound chip from a locomotive from there regular engine range. not just the older fans but also kids would pick up on if the sounds were different.

it all depends on sales. if a product sells well, then they will keep it around. If sales in something, like the salt wagon, dwindle over the years, then Bachmann won't keep it in production. why keep making a product that's not selling well enough to keep it around longer? that would be a waste of time and money. so, go ahead, sign the petition. I don't think that Bachmann will put the discontinued products back in production because a whole 4 people signed a little petition saying they want this stuff back.

I have a Hornby Murdoch and he handles 18" curves fine. If a Hornby 9F can handle 18" curves, then an A1 can take on 22" curves

A while back, maybe 4/5 years ago, I bought white fabric for the layout to look like snow. it works fine and when i'm done with the christmas layout, i just through the fabric in the washing machine and store it away for the next year.

it is a bit confusing because their listed. they should at least have "coming soon" somewhere next to the listing of the products.

the episodes from the last couple of days have been really good! one thing I do have to say about this season is the utilization of characters to use. it's not just the eight main engines getting rolls for themselves but characters like scruff, hiro and diesel, flynn and belle, bill and ben, salty, stafford, (soon to be) harvey.....the list goes on. this has to be one of the best series since the classic series (pre season .

BoCo would make a nice model to own. he would add diversity with the diesel engines because he's not a shunter. we need bigger diesels there are already too many shunter diesels and BoCo would make a great addition.

everything about the episode was done amazingly. one thing i didn't like was they said "the Great Western way" too many times. they could have just said "the right way." but other than that 8/10.
