I have to agree with GN. Just check ebay; I'll bet there are 100 Challengers from a dozen builders on any given day. Plus, new tooling and mechanicals could easily push a plastic loco into the price range of very nice brass models. I think Bachmann could spend their new product budget much more productively on any of a number of other locomotives.

Absolutely not!! there already is such a glut of those on the market that it would make no sense whatsoever...on the other hand that never stopped them before did it.

UncBob: I checked out your website - nice layout! I like the idea of a preservation railroad - gives you the excuse to run just about anything you want - including a Day Out With Thomas - What a great idea!

Yeah I agree. By the way, what Thomas was that?

Quote from: jsmvmd on January 02, 2012, 04:34:05 PMAt one time I had a double crossover and a turn out off the inner track to a servicing facility and engine house but was having problems at the turn out/crosovers so I took it out before I balasted and went with a farm and depot along one of the tracks . I have DCC plus a throttle that I can switch in on either track that I use for my DC diesels --My steamers are all DCC
Dear "Uncle Bob,"
Boy-Oh-Boy is that nice! I suppose you could use two throttles or DCC. What would you think about using four No. 6 turnouts to make a double crossover in the center of one of the long runs so you could get a reversing section in there?
Best Wishes,
Jack
