All switches should work with DCC . DCC is only a control system and is compatible with all brands of track . I believe the EZ Track switches should work with no problem .

  With a 24 " circle of track , I would guess 11" radius curves .

I'd thought that all of your 4-6-0's were DCC on board .  I know that there were a number of people , when it came out , that were wanting a straight DC loco and complained about having to pay for DCC when they didn't want it . Now I'm confused .  I did not know that you made a non DCC version of this loco .......

It should be DCC ready and already have the decoder mounted in the tender . Try it on address 3 to check .

Is it in programming mode ?

I've always used a very small flat blade screwdriver or an Xacto blade myself .  I never liked those powered brushes .  I changed out all my car wheels to Fox Valley metal wheelsets too . That cut down on the black gunk a lot .

Looks to me like they could swap with some of the others . They are made similar and mount in more or less the same location any way .

If the K4 is anything like the Berk , all the electronics are pretty much hard wired into the tender . There isn't any plug . The only way will be to rewire the whole tender , I think .  I don't have one yet , and the Spookshow.net review hasn't been posted yet , so I'm making an educated guess here .  Mark at Spookshow.net should have his review posted in a day or so though .

I put a soundtraxx  TSU 750 into my 2-10-2 with a 1/2" round speaker . Its not too difficult , just unsolder the stock decoder and solder in the new one . I did have to modify the coal load a bit to get the speaker to fit well .  Also you WILL need a speaker enclosure ,soundtraxx makes one to fit the speaker .  The ESU is a bit smaller decoder and should work well also .

I think that everything new is a Spectrum now . They just aren't labeled so anymore .

The 1000 ohm 1/4 watt resistor will protect the LED from the high DCC current . Brightness stays the same over the full range of speed .  It's a commonly used system as far as I know .

I'm not an SPF , but I'll definitely take 1 , especially if I can get one in N&W .

I blew the LED on my 2-8-0 when I replaced the factory decoder board .  I just replaced it with a new LED and a 1000w resistor .

The ones used in N scale locos are are stripped down decoder . CV 5 and 6 don't work on them. I usually end up replacing them with a full function decoder. The stock decoders work fine in most locos , but others need a bit finer control .
