thank you for that update woody

also lets not forget
british and euro trains are driven on the left side
ours on the right side
there autos are right side drive
ours on the left side

not to mention they lost the greatest parcel of land
on earth when they finally left brooklyn in 1776

all kidding aside  not to mention there great contributions
to literature and the movie industry

and the railways  has they call it

good luck  john t   brooklyn ny

keep in mind the british were pionerers
in railroading

carriages from horse and carriage
wagons from wagons that pulled frieight by horses

as far as the bathroom goes  loo     not sure

but sir thomas crapper invented the flushing overhead pull
pull chain toilet

thus we have the crapper or craphouse

now can we get back to railroading

hi simon
there was a company called AMERICAN something
i know i have 2 of there units in my collection
1 is an E60 in new haven and the other in E60CF
in penn central
there on athearn drive and had better pantographs
than the early bachmann units
dont forget the last version of the E60   the E60m

the new bachmann E60 is an improvement over
the past units

if i shrinks my picture file down i may be able
to share some good E60 pictures  in this forum

it all started many many years ago
my brother and cousins had there  lionel trains
i as a little boy all i did was watch
of course i got my 1956 set of lionel and that got the ball
rolling with model trains   now iam all H.O trains
and as far as real trains
i worked in grand central termianl in a candy store for
3 years 1968 - 1970  it was fun every day looking at the last days of
new york central  then came penn central
from 1976-1986 i work in sunnyside queens  right in front of the
northeast corridor mainline  walked thru the sunnyside yard
many a lunch hour  and i did take pictures

now i just roam about with my camera shot whatever i can
between tne trains and the nyc subway

and most of all to all out there

you never get trains out of your blood
