The 1940 Ford F1 pickup sounds great. Any idea how much they cost?

Just goes to show how unAmerican UP is.   :D
Gene

Plasser would kill you.... but he's banned, so you're alright.

Thanks, everyone. I'll use everything, like many people just said. Now I have an idea, though: I'll model a small bagging complex next to my sand/gravel company. Thanks again!
#649
Was sand moved in gondolas, covered hopper cars, or regular hopper cars?

I know somebody who has one. Maybe I'll ask him how it runs.

I think I found a video of Plasser......

LMAO....this one is actually funny Gene.

Sid

Oh good. You saw that one too. I knew it was somebody on the board, I just couldn't put my finger on who it was.

NOTE: If anybody hasn't seen the thread "our worst model train crashes" they should. Plasser will be lucky if he doesn't get banned, so it'll get deleted soon.

It looks real nice, especially considering you didn't have instructions.  :o

E-Z mate is Bachmann's brand of coupler. E-Z track is their brand of track. I think you mean E-Z track. ;)

Does anyone know what types of engines are currently being run in Iraq? Types of cars, type of loads, etc. that make up the trains?

Thanks,

Jonathan

Jonathan,
It's in the July 2004 issue of TRAINS.

I would like a HO one of those.

So would I. Sunset made it in brass, but $800 is WAYYY out of my budget.

Paul M : Nice to meet you. Do you have a favorite steam loco? Let me hear about it. Don't be put off by all those who would correct spellings and the like; this is for fun and enjoyment, and it comes as it comes.

Sheldon : Thank you for the additional facts about your favorite loco. It makes it that much more interesting to know about.

Stewart,

Oh boy, do I!

My favorite is Texas & Pacific's 2-10-4.
I-1, I-1a, I-1b, I-1c, and I-1b classes
There were 70 T&P 2-10-4s built;
Road numbers were 600- 669
All of them were built by Lima from November 1925 until 1929
Only surviving locomotive is T&P #610
#610 was restored for the American Freedom Train in the seventies
#610 is currently at the Texas State Railroad
All of the T&P's 2-10-4s were Freight locomotives,
but #610 now carries passengers on the TXSRR

#623 on October 26, 1930

Famous #610 at the Texas State Railroad on March 3rd, 2001.

I would have posted more photos, but I guess two photos are enough. :-\
