yes I do like the ability to be able to rearrange things and I'm thinking of going and getting the EZ-command as well as two reverse loop systems and do an interesting dogbone layout

Kinda looks like Yankee Stadium to me.  Could you change the track to N/S?

I believe it should be n/s considering the price tag attached to it

HO / So I'm contemplating making the Dive into EZ Track
February 28, 2010, 03:08:43 AM
I bought a Spectrum Explorer set on ebay for a really reasonable price $80 for a DCC 2-8-0 and 3 pass cars an oval of track and all the rest and I gotta say that was a steal. But I also know I might not like having B&O pass. cars or a couple other things, but I'm skeptical about the EZ-track

if you use it, how do you like it, does it stay clean for a while? Anything pros and cons, because I might just keep the track instead of selling it :)

as for the 2-8-0 I'm thinking of remocing the boiler for a different project and replacing it with either the old plastic bachmann Reading Boiler(suped up) or a varney heavy consolidation boiler(still reading prototype buut I'm worried about having to cut into the mechanism to make it fit)

tell me what you guys think :)

I run the IHC Mogul on the ME&O  depending on what rolling stock I use
It has decent detail and runs great
You can find them on EBAY once in a while

we have about 2 or three of these IHC engines on our club layout theyre pretty decent spite that fact that they don't like to pull much

HO / Sound Decoders for 8 pins
February 27, 2010, 03:12:55 PM
Is it possible to buy Sound decoders seperately for certain engines with the 8 prong plug? I'm buying some DCC installed(no sound) locomotives however I'd like to add sound to them, is this possible?

thanks in advance

I'd say I have to agree with that if you make one of those, including if you make them in New Haven as well considering this our club Layout in Canton CT could use a couple of these in our fleet, given the cab style is the same as well, we have one actual prototype mogul on our lines and its a brass locomotive from Samsahoga I believe, I refurbished it back to running condition

It's a lovely engine considering its smooth running and excessive detail, its one of the only engines that I take care of that I'm skeptical about weathering considering how beautiful it looks

I'd really like to see a 4-6-4t or a 4-6-6t, thats not brass however if it doesn't get made by a cheaper source i'll probrably resort to kitbashing one out of a hudson boiler and the many locomotive parts I have

a non-brass 4-6-4t or 4-6-6t like the Boston and Albany would be an awesome model to own, even in the freelance realm

I'd probrably have a fleet

I have always thought that the PRR H-3 class 2-8-0 as built by Baldwin would make a good selling model. Ma & Pa 23-26 and a series of small 2-8-0's on the Southern and WM look all alike. I am sure other roads had these 1890's built locomotives. There is a proto-type in the collection at Strasburg PA.

too much PRR on the market -_-

yes they carried names. 3713 was Constitution. The 4100's were named as well. They were submitted by school kids in a 193(4)0's  contest. The athearn model was from the 60's. What a piece of junk.

haha, rubber-band drive
