Large / Re: G scale Climax locomotives
June 04, 2018, 03:38:33 PM
All DCC decoders have common wiring protocols - at least those that conform to the NMRA suggestions. Each wire on the adapter board is marked with identification lettering such as M+ (motor positive), M- (Motor negative), etc....
All you need to do to use the adapter board ( the one with all the wires on it) is match the lettering on the wires to the spot on your decoder that is labeled the same. Doesn't hurt to have a set of instructions for the decoder you choose to install so that it is easy to match the wires to the proper socket on the decoder. Most large scale decoders feature small sockets to screw the wires into so it's easy. The adapter board is designed to mate a non 21 pin decoder to the 21 pin socket on the Bachmann interface board in the coal bunker.
Use the adapter board with the wires to adapt your decoder of choice to the 21 pin interface in the Bachmann loco.

Thanks for the heads up Mark. We originally posted the HO version waiting for the actual N scale production model. The N scale image is now posted.

No plans at the moment

The pick ups on the new Pacific are pretty much the same as the K4.

I would scrap the PCB and just wire direct from the decoder...

Sorry but the answer to both questions is no.....

E-Z App / Re: 2 ez app locomotives on the same track
March 29, 2018, 08:55:43 AM
I think the first thing I would try would be to delete and reinstall the app. Other than that maybe check to make sure the locos each have a unique name.
You may also want to check to make sure you have enough voltage/amperage to run two locomotives.

E-Z App / Re: E-Z APP™ is Here!

The App controls Bluetooth equipped locomotives. It does not control DCC locos. DCC and EZ App locos can run on the same track at the same time. You just cannot control an EZ App loco with a DCC controller and vice versa.

Can't tell you exactly - it is momentary. To be on the safe side use a lower voltage (12volts).

The Power Booster is primarily to boost your track power amperage. As stated previously your best bet is to use any standard HO power pack to power your accessories. A small HO pack with an accessory hookup would be ideal.
