Dear Joe,

Sorry for the inconvenience, but I cannot find your thread about connecting Bachmann to Aristo LS track.

Could you please re-post it or email it to me ?

Dear JB,

Wow !  Thanks a million !   Very nostalgic for me.

Another nice place to visit is Knott's Berry Farm in Anaheim, CA, which has a nice village to stroll about.

Howdy,

What do you all think of the video building technique shown in "The World's Greatest Hobby" included with the track pack ?  Looks pretty complete to me.

Dear Friends,

Is not a 5' x 9' to be recommend to allow 22 inch curves ?  Seems to me that was much discussed on this forum several years ago.  Too, I believe a ping pong table is 5 x 9, is it not ?  That is for one who wishes a portable item.

Howdy !

Sorry if this has been discussed, but what is the basis chassis/motor for this guy ?  Similar to the Porter, or a new design ?  Too, is he a good runner ?  I am thinking about getting him for under the Xmas tree.  Thanks

Dear Jim,

Subways normally run under the street.  Commuter trains that run on elevated track are usually referred to as "els," a contraction of "elevated."  Having said that, what do you call a train that runs on elevated track, then on street level track, then underground?  Darned if I know.

You call it Philadelphia !

Hunt, Impressive !

Large / INDY Question
January 18, 2011, 03:31:26 PM
Dear Friends,

With the old Indy out of production for several years, how can one be sure that you do not get an older version that might have been sitting on a dealer's shelf ?  Not that I would mind the old version, but if I pay for new and improved Indy, that is what I want.  Are there any numbers on the box that would indicate the new vs. the old, or other defining characteristics ?  For instance, I know to check the new truck, but I never saw the old one !

Best Wishes,

Jack
