It just sit there. I took the motor out and de-soldered  the caps and touched the leads to a 12v supply and the motor spun just fine. I tried to touch the leads to the track and it acted like it wanted to spin but it doesn't. Do the motor have to be wired to the board for it to work on the track?

HO / Bachmann gp40 won't run
January 08, 2015, 03:28:07 PM
I just received a Bachmann gp 40 dcc ready But it won't run, the headlight and reverse lights come on but it don't move.
I know that my power and track is hooked up right because my other locomotive run just fine.
So I disassembled it to look for wires touching and such but I see no issues there. But I took the motor out and it has a bunch of  capacitors wired to the case of the motor and to both + and - terminals on the motor...looks like they make a complete circuit to both sides. Need to know what that it all about and if it is needed or not.
Thanks.

HO / E-Z track turnout wiring
January 07, 2015, 08:47:02 AM
Hi,
I want to replace the switch that comes with the remote turn out to a DPDT switch. I understand how to wire a momentary DPDT switch to operate the turnout but I don't understand how to wire the three wires that the turnout uses to the DPDT switch.

HO / DCC e-z command center to power ez track turnouts.
January 03, 2015, 11:56:20 AM
I am using a Dcc Nce power cab on my layout.
What I would like to know if I can use the E-Z command center to just power the turnouts in my layout so not to draw power from the track?

I would just use Denatured alcohol to clean my track with and not bother with a track cleaner car unless their are some areas that you can't reach like a tunnel or a enclosed bridge etc.etc.

Update.

Bought some more track and pickup a good deal on a 2-8-0 consolidate steam loco.
I don't think that is it DCC ready so I'll be putting in a sound decoder for that.
I ordered a lumber saw mill kit, so I think that will be my theme for the layout.

Does anyone know where I can buy E-Z track 1 piece of each. Instead of buying whole packs of four?

I have the EZ_Command controller, actually have two. My question is what voltage and amperage these are supposed to put out? One output is 18.5 and the other is 19.4 volts. Isn't this is bit high for decoders to handle? The reason for that statement is I've burnt up two right after installing them. And yes they were done correct, as I have installed many prior to this one. Won't mention the brand as I don't think that matters, as much as the voltage/amps output of the controller. It may be the locomotive drawing to much amps, but I tend to not figure that, as I have other Loco's with the same motor and they run great. I'm looking to upgrade my controller and thinking about the Dynamis. But that's for another post later.
Thanks

I looked on my ez command power pack and it says 16v ac at 1 amp
