I think that if MMI could build a K-37 in On30 and make that beast squeez :o around a 18" radius, then a ten wheeler would not be out of the question.
besides the K-37 started out as a standard gauge locomotive that was converted to narrow gauge. ???

I am not trying to advertise for Clover house, but his catalog is well worth the price.
he offers vintage advertising, all colors and styles of dry tranfers.

Sorry! in last post I meant to indicate that the extended smoke box appears to be a seperate piece making a simple conversion to a earlier engine.

If this engine had a short smoke box, flanged domes and a earlier style cab then it would pass for a 1870 on engine.

This was the spirit of the early narrow gauge, buy cheap ,use relay rail from standard gauge railroads and build flimsly bridges.

Bachmann,
how about getting the model maker to make a original type wood cab and some flanged domes and a wood burning stack.
the some box appears to be a add on anyway.

You could then have a : (1) original version (2) immediate version (3) modern version. WOW!!!!!! :o ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Royce

PS and if this sells well enough you could even alter the frame and make a small mogul...now who would of thunk of that. ::)

On30 / Re: Fluted domes for 2-6-0

Matt,
Don Kralik made some very fine stuff to includes his wagons!
I never understood why more O scale modelers were not buying lots of these, in most areas of the world up to and around 1920 horses outnumbered autos.

anyway back to domes for the 2-6-0. Don;s are designed to fit the Bachmann 2-6-0.
When you remove the flat Union Pacific domes you will find holes in the boiler.
What I did was remove the boiler and glue a small piece of styrene under it and fill the hole with a model putty and sand it when dry.
I used a product called ,Squadron putty, and don't forget to finish with fine sand paper and wet it to polish.
PSC sell some nice brass domes. If you join the Yahoo group TOC narrowgauge there is a photos o0f this engine backdated.

Why not use the C&S 22 tender and just remove the number 22 off the rear and re number it 21? ;D

Kevin
The other alternative is to join the Yahoo group sites such as On30 conspiracy,On30 group and On30 swapmeet. there is a lot of folks that do not want the cabbage stack from the Bachmann 2-8-0.

You can also get a PSC catalog and check out a Radley and hunter stack.

Great to hear that the tender trucks will be sold seperately....thanks Bachmann.............................................................Royce ;D
