I am doing the same basic thing with my layout but for only one engine at a time , for dc do I need to isolate anything or will it all work as a plug n play ...I know I will need a couple of feeders but is there anything else I need to do?

I got this one for 4.98 with no other bids and a green one ended about a minute before this one with no bids so I figured he needed a caboose to go with the new train and the aunts and uncles will get some rolling stock also http://cgi.ebay.com/HO-Scale-Wide-Vision-Caboose-Ready-to-Run-NS_W0QQitemZ390130356128QQcmdZViewItemQQptZModel_RR_Trains?hash=item5ad594cfa0

I was thinking about little screws but I'm not sure they can be found thin , long , and strong enough ...but if so they would be able to be removed with no problem

so I guess as long as they are the same height off the ties it really doesn't matter ... like code 83 or 100 , do all the different types of track fit together with the same joiners

how about running on one transformer with feeders or is that too much track...also can the same transformer control the switches at the same time since they only work for like a half a second
