Are you sure these are Bachmann Spectrum engines? I 'm not aware of a Bachmann 0-6-0T .
There are a number of 0-6-0s with tenders but those are in the standard line.

By playable i mean you can vari. the tone .....playing it like a horn... low pitch , medium pitch etc.
The true Tsunami sound decoder has this function.
If i knew how to upload a sound file that i have , one from an old 33 1/3 album on a cassette called Remember When.... i could let you hear one such whistle ... one i never tire of listening to .....though fairly short its just pure music to listen to. :-*

Glad you got it sorted out Rob,I've got the Bachmann 2-10-0 Russian Decapod and was a bit leery of pulling it apart worrying about the thing being overly delicate.....This from a guy who wouldn't think twice about totally dismanteling a brass Great Northern articulated to put a nice looking ( my opinion) paint job on it.... ;D

Bach man
On reading up on the true Tsumani sound decoders most seem to have multible whistles that can be chosen in the cv's, Do the Spectrum locomotives equipped with Tsunami sound have this option?

Tell you what i'd really really really like to see added to the Spectrum line with DCC and sound is the Norfolk & Western M2 4-8-0.
Just love that great looking wagontop steamer....But then I have a soft spot for the Mastodons regardless of the home road.  ::)

Man that sucks! K' lets try this maybe a friend could help.
seeing as the drawbar pin is longish, and the connie's not going to be pulling large numbers of cars try a piece of plastic a 1/4 inch square or so and thick enough to insert a piece of plastic again the diameter to fit.
and epoxy the works over the original pin location. I have even used the brass tip out of a cheap ballpoint pen with success. ;D

After looking at the drawbar pin on my Russian decapod looks as if the pin may be plastic correct?
poor choice that! you don't say did it break off flush with the tender floor?
or is there a stub of it left?
as to the 1st I'd carefully drill a hole and use a piece of brass or plastic the same diameter gluing it in with a good epoxy,if possible soldering a small brass piece or in the case of plastic a small square of  plastic on one end and inserting it from the inside , that would make it a little more sturdy.
On the other hand if you are lucky and there's a bit of a stub left using either plastic or brass tubing maybe you could simply slip it over the remaining part of the pin and glue it in place

Having seen  pics of the IC 908 kit bash (she's a beaut!) hope you can get'er fixed!

Is this what you were looking for?
Also there should have been a cd disc. with your engine, check under the packaging in the box there will be a full manual in pdf format on the disc. leastwise there was with my Tsunumi equipted 2-10-0

Sheldon

Thanks for the wealth of information ,my plan is to get the 52'' drivered ten wheeler with the pre 1900 tender as my russian also has the 52'' drivers. That plus its just a really handsome little guy think they'll really look good doubleheading together.
Just think it would look a bit huskier with the vanderbilt, never been a big fan of the small low early tenders.  ;D

Or if the truck is screw mounted try tighting the screw on the trucks until they swivel freely but do not rock.

HO / no.89900 Medium length vanderbilt tender
July 23, 2007, 09:12:36 PM
Seeing as this tender is not issued with any of the Bachmann locomotives and thinking it would look quite handsome behind the 52"drivered 4-6-0
I'm wondering is this tender DCC ready as most of the Spectrum line.
Again realising it has no locomotive assignment ,and  being a vanderbilt which doesn't useally lend themselves to easy access , would this be a workable combination?
Has anyone utilized this tender and what are your thoughts.... :P

A number of years ago class  Zs , Ys and even the Ws were produced in brass.
Nothing in plastic however.
